World Book Day at Ennis NS
There was great excitement in Ennis NS as we celebrated World Book Day. The school was full of colour and creativity as children arrived dressed as their favourite characters from books. It was wonderful to see such a wide range of characters brought to life and to hear pupils chatting enthusiastically about the stories and authors they love.
A real highlight of the day was our ‘Bring a Book – Take a Book’ event. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, a huge number of books were donated. They were beautifully laid out on tables and shelves in the school foyer, creating a fantastic display that drew great interest from pupils.
Each class had time to visit the foyer to browse the collection, and every child had the opportunity to choose a book to take home. There was great excitement as pupils searched for the perfect book, and it was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for reading.
A big thank you to everyone who donated books and those who organised and helped make the event such a success. It was a lovely way to celebrate reading and to share the joy of books across our school community.
