Run Around Europe Challenge

In Ennis National School, we have recently started our Run Around Europe Challenge. This entails 1st and 2nd running to London which is 847 km, 3rd and 4th running to Paris which is 1, 309 kn and 5th and 6th running to Berlin which is 1, 947 km.  At break time the children run a kilometre route outside.  If the weather is bad, they do 16 laps of the hall.  The children are counted.  Every child that completes the run has covered a kilometre.  If there are 67 children running, that means there is 67 kilometre taken off the distance from their destination.  It is an excellent initiative that keeps the children active during break time.  We encourage every child to take part.
