Confirmation 2019
Confirmation for our three 6th classes took place yesterday in Ennis cathedral. Bishop Fintan confirmed all the girls and boys assisted by Fr. Ryan, Fr. Joy, Fr. McCormack and Canon Taaffe.
The school choir was outstanding, providing a wonderful musical backdrop to the occasion. Many thanks to Ms. Anne McMahon, Mrs. Anne Flanagan and Ms. Michelle McCormick (organist) for their tremendous work with the choir.
6th class pupils formed a special instrumental group for the occasion and performed beautifully on the altar during the Offertory Procession.
The pupils were a credit to themselves, their families and the school during the ceremony which took place from 11.00 – 12.30, followed by photographs on the altar with Bishop Fintan. Thanks to all school staff involved in preparing the students for their big day – Ms. Lourda Roseingrave, Ms. Fíona de Buitléir, Mr. Éamon Corry, Mr. Gary Walsh and Mr. Brian Troy (principal).
After the ceremony, there was a party at the school for all the families organised by our school Parent Association. Huge thanks to all who contributed goodies for the party and to the parents who came along to run it on the day. You are all fantastic and we are delighted to have you in our school community!
