Band Performance in Shannon Airport?
Our school band performed at the School Bands Spectacular in Shannon Airport on February 27th. It was a wonderful musical collaboration with other primary school bands – St. Finnachta’s from Sixmilebridge and Milford NS, Limerick, on this occasion.
Each band performed its own recital and then all joined together for the Grand Finale with 180 young musicians playing Ireland’s Call and Amhrán na bhFiann in concert. Parents and friends turned up to support the children and enjoy their music.
Our repertoire included Barn Dance, Raider’s March, waltzes, the Muppet Show and Flintstones themes among others.
Many thanks to Shannon Airport for hosting this event once again – the hospitality is fantastic every year.
On our way home we stopped off at the wonderful O’Regan Park in Newmarket to get some fresh air and have some fun! Well done, girls and boys. ?
