All-Ireland School Chess Competitions

1. A great day was had by our chess team in Dublin this week at the All Ireland Primary School chess competition. Our team consisted of eight players. They played 5 games each. We had victories over Manorhamilton NS from Co. Leitrim and Scoil Bhride, Ranelagh, Dublin. We competed very well against Carysfort, Blackrock, Dublin, Strand Primary School, Belfast and St. Patrick’s NS, Galway. Our team competed very well to finish 11th overall in Ireland. It was a fantastic achievement. Well done to all the team and extra well done to Egor and Ronan who were awarded medals for outstanding performances.
