ENS Parents’ Association Meeting Minutes

Intro
Final meeting of the year, many thanks to members who are finishing up, in particular
Mariusz and Eileen.
Thanks to all who helped out for the Communion Reception.
Funday:
Tattoos: decision that 5th / 6th class won’t need a tattoo station. Discussion to keep the water
station separate.
Loan of connect 4 should be ok for the 18th June.
Schedule for the day is still underway.
29th June: Ice-cream van to come between approx 10am and 1pm. Advertisements to be sent
out closer to the time and each child requested to bring €1 as a token payment towards the
cost.
Graduation Reception:
Orders are ready to go: 2 trays ordered (will cater for approx 20 people per tray) and
cupcakes
Class gift: Secondary School survival kit: some items are still in the kitchen
Sign to be changed from 2025 to 2026
Tea/coffees to be provided
Water cups : purchase more.
Volunteer sheet circulated
Back to School:
Date: 31st August
Junior infant reception: tea/coffee and biscuits to be provided.
Welcome pack to be updated with most recent available information.
● Print 2 years worth of flyers
● Simplify the sheets and update activities/people pages
● D2 printers recommended as printer.
Subcommittee is formed for welcome pack
Other Business:
● Jenny attended NPC meeting, noted that any outstanding funds in the PA account to
be transferred to the school by September
● Decision made to use a reimbursement form whenever any items are purchased in
cash by the PA. Where possible, items should be purchased using the PA card to keep
the need for reimbursement to a minimum.
● A decision was made that PA should buy from local businesses that have supported
the school where possible.
● Ideas for recruiting more volunteers:
○ Add QR code to link into helpers WhatsApp group to allow parents to sign up
for information on where volunteers are needed.
● NPC Board positions are available
● Bingo Closing item: thank yous to supporting businesses were made on the day, in
social media posts and in the school notices on the event.
