Marion Keane Basketball Tournament

Ennis NS was proud to host the second rounds of the Marion Keane Basketball Tournament in our school hall this week, welcoming school teams for two exciting days of competition.

A fantastic standard of basketball was on display throughout, with skill, teamwork and determination evident in every game. Both our girls’ and boys’ teams represented the school superbly, putting in outstanding performances and competing with great spirit.

There were plenty of nail-biting moments over the two days, with closely contested matches keeping players and spectators on the edge of their seats. The girls’ tournament was ultimately won by Knockanean NS after a series of excellent games.

The boys’ competition provided a particularly dramatic finish, with Gaelscoil Mhichíl Chíosóg securing victory on a thrilling “golden score”, scoring the winning basket with the final shot of the game against our Ennis NS boys’ team.

Well done to all the teams who took part for their effort, sportsmanship and high level of play. Well done also to the organising staff for an excellent tournament.
