June Updates for Parents and Guardians
June Updates for Parents and Guardians
As we enter the final month of the school year, we would like to share a number of important reminders and updates with our school community.
🚶 Walking Bus – Join Us This June!
June is a great time to walk to school. Our Walking Bus departs each morning from Éire Óg GAA grounds and is supported by staff and parent volunteers.
Walking to school helps children to:
- Be more active and healthy
- Develop independence and road safety awareness
- Socialise with friends before school
- Reduce traffic congestion around the school
- Start the school day positively
We would be delighted to welcome new walkers during the final weeks of the school year.
⏰ Attendance and Punctuality
Teaching and learning continue right up to the summer holidays. We encourage all families to maintain excellent attendance during June and to ensure that children arrive at school on time each morning.
Every school day provides valuable opportunities for learning, social interaction and participation in end-of-year activities.
📱 Mobile Phones – School Policy Reminder
As part of our commitment to the “Agree to Agree” initiative, pupils should not bring mobile phones to school.
This expectation also applies to school tours, outings, sporting events and other school-related activities. Please see the attached information document for further details.
đź‘• Uniforms and School Supplies for 2026/2027
Booklists for the 2026/2027 school year are now available on our website.
Under the Primary Schoolbooks Scheme, all required books and copybooks will be provided by the school and will be available for pupils when they return after the summer holidays.

👥 Class Reorganisation Updates
The reorganisation of classes for pupils currently in Senior Infants and Fifth Class has now been completed. Pupils have met their new classmates and further transition opportunities will take place before the summer holidays.
