STEAM Challenge.
In second class, we were learning about materials and their properties last week. We experimented to see which materials were waterproof or absorbent. Using a previous lesson from Michael Browne on designing a shoe, in groups, the children had to design a shoe from recycled materials. The shoe had to fit one member of the group, be able to be worn on a walk down the corridor and finally proven to be waterproof when stood in water.
