Halloween

Halloween is a big deal at ENS! We did lots of Halloween based learning during the two weeks coming up to the midterm break. Our Aistear and stations were all Halloween based. We drew and painted pumpkins, we painted Frankenstein and designed our own faces for him using sugar paper, we learned about bats and made bat headbands. Lots of junior infant children got involved in the paint a pumpkin competition and we were blown away by the amazing creations they came up with! We did a tour of the school to check out over 300 painted pumpkins that were on parade. We did some spooky Halloween science experiments. Our PE circuits were Halloween themed and included broomstick riding, ghost bowling and hunting for bones! We dressed up on Friday for our Halloween Hobble. This year the hobble took place around the school grounds-we had to sing and recite Halloween rhymes to get ingredients for our spell from the spooky witches, vampires and zombies we met on our way!
