Art Piece influenced by Jean Michel Basquiat
Our Artwork Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat
We created a piece about the environment and climate change. We were inspired by an artist called Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Our art work.
Basquiat was a famous American painter who started out drawing on the streets of New York. His art is full of bright colours, bold shapes, and scribbly lines that look wild. He liked to mix words, symbols, and pictures to express big ideas.
Paintings by Jean Michel Basquiat
In our artwork, we tried to use Basquiat’s energetic style. We used strong, colours to show how important it is to protect our planet. We added rough, sketchy lines to make the picture feel urgent, just like the climate crisis is urgent. We also included negative and positive words that come to mind when we think of Global warming and climate change.
Basquiat’s art often made people stop and think, and that’s what we want our artwork to do too. We hope our picture helps others realise that we need to look after our environment—because every small action can make a big difference
