Board of Management Update – June 2025

The Board of Management of Ennis National School held its final meeting of the school year on June 23rd.

Among the key items discussed were school finances, correspondence, and planning for the continued promotion of the school’s Catholic ethos. The Board formally adopted the Department of Education’s revised Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools (Circular 41/2025).

The Board reviewed leadership and assessment reports and expressed its sincere thanks to the school staff, the Parents’ Association, and all volunteers for their dedication and contributions throughout the year. Special thanks were noted for recent donations towards coding and robotics equipment.

Progress on the Strategic Plan 2023–2027 was reviewed, with the Board considering the introduction of a monitoring system, such as a RAG status, to support ongoing accountability. The Board will also make a submission to the Ennis Local Transport Plan Public Consultation. The Board discussed procurement and contract for a cleaning contractor and applications for energy efficiency grants.

The next meeting of the Board will take place in the new school year.
