Board of Management Meeting Update – 20th April 2026
The most recent meeting of the Board of Management was held on 20th April 2026.
The Board considered a range of important items, including school staffing arrangements for the 2026/2027 school year.
The Board was presented with the Child Protection Oversight Report, which was reviewed and formally signed by the Chairperson and Principal.
The Treasurer presented an up-to-date financial report. It was again highlighted that the school remains significantly dependent on fundraising and rental income to meet ongoing running costs.
The Principal’s Report was shared with the Board, providing an overview of current school activities and developments.
The revised School Plan for Mathematics was ratified by the Board. Members commended the plan, noting its thorough and comprehensive nature.
The Board also reviewed progress on the Board of Management Strategic Plan for its term, identifying both areas of progress and priorities for further action.
Ongoing investment in school facilities and infrastructure was noted, including:
- Installation of a new internal phone system
- Repairs to the school hot water boiler
- Continued investment in IT resources
A decision on the refurbishment of the school sports hall floor was deferred, pending a further review of finances at the next meeting.
The Board noted that the installation of 144 solar panels is expected to proceed during the summer.
