Agree to Agree Project – Final Meeting Update

The final meeting of the Agree to Agree project took place last night in Clare Education Centre. The event was hosted by Maureen Griffin of MGMS Training, a leading expert in online safety and Martin Moloney, Director of Clare Education Centre. Representatives from all participating schools came together to share the work they have undertaken in developing their evolving Agree to Agree plans.

These plans, focused on promoting safe, respectful and responsible online behaviour, were developed in each school through a collaborative process involving pupils, parents, and staff. The project supports a whole-school approach to digital wellbeing and reflects growing concerns from the Department of Education and Youth around protecting children in online spaces.

The Agree to Agree initiative encourages schools to develop a shared agreement on digital conduct, tailored to their own school community. The emphasis on pupil voice and consultation ensures that the plans are meaningful and relevant to young people’s real online experiences.

Each school will now present their Agree to Agree plan to the wider school community during the autumn term, helping to create a more supportive and safer digital environment for all.
