ENS Parents’ Association Meeting Minutes
Date: Thursday, 15th of April, 2026
Time: 7:30pm

Bingo:
Machine is rented and due to arrive at the school with a box of bingo books from 20th April
The prizes were discussed and decisions made on how to distribute those that we have
already received. Plans made to use some of the donated cash to buy prizes to ensure that we
have enough line prizes.
Actions:
● buy additional prizes (Jenny)
● Communications to Social Media (Jenny / Communications team)
● Find out if we can have TV to display our Thank You message on the night (Brian)
● Buy supplies for the tuck shop (Jenny / Claire)
Communion:
Purchases of cake and balloons to be made from Kavanaghs and Sweet Dreams. Decision on
balloons to replicate last year’s order and display.
County Photos have confirmed their attendance. They are to send on the pre-registration link
by 17th April which will need to be forwarded to the parents. They have noted that
pre-registration is needed to ensure that they have enough photographers on site. This is to
be noted in the social media posts.
Volunteers to help and donate food needs to be sent out as soon as possible.
Gift Bags will need to be purchased
Bookmarks to include in the giftbag are to be sourced.
We will cater for all 2nd class students when assembling gift bags as all students may wish to
participate in the celebration (total 76 students in 2nd class)
Fun Day:
provisionally 18th June (weather dependent)
Items reserved: Thriller (new gen) bouncy, crazy golf, large connect 4
Dance with Laura-Jane/Breakthrough Dance reserved for Halla
Reminder that Jenny is tracking: John will need power sources mapped
Paddle pool (Decathlon, fold up type) + ducks to be bought for duck game assuming that
space for storage will be at a minimum.
Temporary tattoos: some are left over from last year, we are to get more to ensure that we
have enough for the day
Ice-cream truck reserved for 29th June
Any Other Business:
● There is an NPC course about preparing preschool children for starting Junior Infants.
PA to book a slot for towards the end of the year preferably in time to give the
information to the incoming parents.
● Book Fair: Provisionally booked for 4th March 2027
● Deposit Return Scheme – look into how the donation scheme works.
