Visit of Joanna Donnelly, National Meteorologist and Weathercaster
We were delighted to welcome Joanna Donnelly, national meteorologist and weathercaster, to Ennis National School today as part of our involvement in the PROTECT Erasmus+ Project. Pupils from Second to Sixth Class had a wonderful opportunity to engage with Joanna through a series of interactive and practical activities.
Joanna brought weather and climate to life, demonstrating the causes and key elements of weather, while also helping pupils to develop a deeper understanding of climate change and its impact on our world. The hands-on approach allowed pupils to explore scientific concepts in a fun, engaging, and accessible way.
The visit was hugely enjoyed by all, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for science and the environment across the school.
