Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso was one of the most famous and creative artists who ever lived. He was born in 1881 in Spain and showed an amazing talent for art from a very young age. His father was an art teacher, and Pablo learned how to draw and paint even before he started school!
As he grew up, Picasso didn’t like doing things the usual way. Instead of painting pictures that looked exactly real, he enjoyed experimenting and trying new ideas. He believed that art should be exciting and full of imagination.
Picasso went through many different art styles during his life. One of his most famous styles is called Cubism. In Cubism, Picasso painted people and objects using shapes, like squares and triangles, and showed them from different angles all at once. Faces might have two eyes on one side or noses in strange places—but that was part of the fun!
He also loved using bright colours, bold lines, and unusual materials. Sometimes he made collages, sticking pieces of paper, newspaper, or fabric onto his artwork to create something completely new.
One of Picasso’s most famous paintings is called “Guernica”, which shows how sad and frightening war can be. Through his art, Picasso shared his feelings about the world around him.
Picasso created thousands of artworks during his life, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and pottery. He once said, “Every child is an artist.” Picasso believed that being creative and brave with ideas was the most important part of making art.
Today, Picasso is remembered as an artist who showed the world that there is no one right way to make art—and that trying new ideas can lead to amazing results.
