Jack McAuliffe – Irish Team at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad

We’re thrilled to congratulate Jack McAuliffe, a former pupil, who has earned a place on the Irish team at the International Mathematical Olympiad, taking place on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia from 10–20 July 2025 .  The world championship of high‑school mathematics, brings together over 600 students from more than 100 countries to solve challenging problems over two intense competition days. Jack’s inclusion is a testament to his dedication and exceptional mathematical ability. We wish him every success as he represents Ireland on this prestigious global stage!

Michael Cleary – Ireland U17 at the Home Nations Basketball Tournament

Well done to Michael Cleary, who has been selected for Ireland’s U17 men’s basketball team and will compete in the Home Nations Invitational Tournament in Cardiff, Wales on 28–29 June 2025. Facing off against Wales, Scotland, and England at Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Archers Arena, the squad will play three fixtures over the weekend .

All Michael’s games will be available via live stream on Basketball Wales’ YouTube channel and FIBA Live Stats. We’re cheering him—and the whole Irish squad—on as they showcase their talents on the court!

We’re incredibly proud of Jack and Michael for reaching such high levels in their respective fields. Wishing them both the very best in their upcoming competitions!
