The Parents Association of Ennis National School endeavours to work in close collaboration with the Principal, Staff and Board of Management, to create a strong partnership between home and school. Along with receptions for Communion and Confirmation classes, events for the coming year (2012) are being explored. These activities should encourage active parental/guardian involvement and positive experiences for pupils and their families as they strive to be the best they can, within the school and local community.

The parents association is affiliated to the National Parents Council Primary. This council represents parents’ views on curriculum, class size, health and safety and many other issues as well as negotiating with the Minister and Department of Education and Skills for improvements in the education system and better resources for primary education. Their website www.npc.ie is a useful resource for current topics and views.

Association meetings are held regularly and are attended by parent committee members and a school liaison representative. If you would like further information on the parents association, or would like to get involved in helping out, you can make contact with any of the following officials. Numbers are available from the school office.
